What stays on your device

The titles you save, what you mark as watched, your ratings, your series progress and your settings (country, language, theme and notifications) are stored only on your device. We never receive them.

Analytics, and how to turn it off

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to tell whether its recommendations are any good. It sends usage events (for example, that a recommendation was shown and what you did with it), along with standard device data and an app installation identifier. It does not send your library, your searches, your ratings or your backups.

You can turn it off anytime in Profile → Improve recommendations. Advertising data collection is disabled.

TMDB and JustWatch

Movie and series information comes from TMDB, and streaming availability from JustWatch through TMDB. When you search or open a title, your device queries TMDB, which receives your IP address and the request under its own policy. Qué ver is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Backups

You can export a backup file, or turn on backup to your own cloud: iCloud on iPhone and iPad, or Google Drive on Android, with your permission and in an app folder. Those copies stay in your account. We don't receive them and can't read them.

Notifications

Episode and digital release notifications are scheduled on your device. Nothing is pushed from a server.

Shared links

When you share a title, the link only carries the TMDB type and number of that title. It carries nothing from your library and not who shared it.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not ask them for data.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the device. If you want the analytics data tied to your installation deleted, email us and we'll do it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
